June! Already?

June! Already?

The end of the second quarter, the mid-year point, the beginning of the downhill slide into holidays and other craziness – JUNE! How did the first half of the year slide away so quickly – it felt slow as we were moving through it, like slushy water, we waded carefully through the months and now – now – it’s like some huge waterpark slide we are about to go head first and are wondering how we got to the top after waiting so long.

Business goals are being reviewed and revamped, some folks are doing their mid-year performance appraisals and others are casting an eye over year-to-date budget.  Everyone feels the pressure of looming summer vacations and projects.  Everyone is trying to avoid looking around the corner at the year-end slide.

I am in my standard – “what the heck am I doing” – mode.  And wondering when my name change will finalize through the courts, and I can then have all the fun of changing my credit cards, and notifying banks etc… as well as finally renewing my passport and all the associated fun and games that go with all that administrative stuff.

I am also wondering how to double my net profits before the end of the year, and how to go about increasing my cashflow and how to make some of my ideas into reality.  I have a stack of books and magazines I need to catch up on and soon, will have even more “work” to do.  The busier I get the more I get done, which seems counter-intuitive but is true.  The adage that says – “if you want to get something done, give it to a busy person” rings in my ears, and I know that it resonates for a reason.

So I am cracking the whip, and getting stuff done.  And also remembering to write a bit in this blog, which is all that is left of my Consulting Company.  On the bigger and better and more lucrative things!

Enjoy your summer – while it lasts.
